CLEVELAND — Rookie running back Quinshon Judkins of the Browns has sustained a dislocated ankle and broken fibula during Sunday’s narrow 23-20 defeat against the Buffalo Bills, as confirmed by coach Kevin Stefanski.
The injury occurred in the second quarter when Judkins’ right leg was forced into an unnatural position following a tackle by Bills linebacker Matt Milano, after he caught a pass behind the line of scrimmage. He was carted off the field for medical attention.
Judkins, selected as the No. 36 overall pick in this year’s draft, was making headlines entering Week 16, being the leading rookie with an impressive 805 rushing yards and accumulating a team-leading seven rushing touchdowns.
Before the injury sidelined him, he recorded 29 rushing yards on eight carries along with five receptions for another 29 yards.
