The rivalry between JS Kabylie and Al Ahly stands as one of the most memorable in African football. Most of these encounters have taken place in the Champions League, but the most unique chapter dates back to 1981, when both quarter-final legs were awarded to JSK by forfeit (3-0 in the first leg, 3-0 in the return), in an exceptional political context following the death of Anwar el-Sadat.
