Deion Sanders, Colorado offer blue chip 2027 Texas defensive lineman

With the 2026 national signing day taking place Wednesday, Feb. 4, thus wrapping up the 2026 cycle, Colorado has turned its attention to the 2027 and 2028 recruiting classes. On Monday, the Buffaloes and Deion Sanders offered four-star defensive lineman Khing Thibodeaux.

Thibodeaux is a top 200 prospect according to 247Sports. The recruiting site rates the 6-foot-2, 260-pounder as the No. 194 player nationally, the No. 25 defensive lineman and the No. 29 player from the state of Texas. Colorado became the 19th program to offer the Lakeview Centennial (Texas) product, joining fellow Big 12 programs Arizona, Arizona State, Kansas, Baylor, Oklahoma State and several others.

Currently, Thidodeaux seems likely to stay in-state with SMU, with a 62% chance of landing the prospect according to Rivals’ prediction system. Baylor is a distant second with a 18.4% chance to land the talented lineman.

Colorado’s 2027 class is currently empty, which may explain the influx of offers sent out in late January and early February. It doesn’t need to be said, but landing a commitment from Thidodeaux would be a massive pickup for the Buffs, who continue to try to build up a defensive line that struggled mightily in 2025.
