Sirianni the winner

The Eagles’ head coach is among the most outstanding winners in NFL history to start a career. Among Super Bowl-winning head coaches, only John Madden (.759, 1969-78) and Vince Lombardi (.738, 1959-67 and 69) have won at a greater clip than Nick Sirianni (.695, 57-25) (6th in NFL history).

Sirianni is the most outstanding winner in NFL history.

Sirianni is one win away from tying Greasy Neale (64, 1941-50) for the 2nd-most by a head coach in Eagles history (including playoffs). Neale led the Eagles to the 1948 and 1949 NFL Championships.

Eagles defense is hitting its stride.

Take out the game against Chicago, and Vic Fangio very well could have the best unit in the NFL. Entering this matchup with Washington, Philadelphia has owned one of the NFL’s best defenses since its bye week. Dating back to Week 10, the Eagles rank 1st in opponent completion percentage (51.5%) and fourth-down defense (14.3%); 2nd in opponent passer rating (67.2); 3rd in defensive points allowed per game (14.3), pressures (90), QB hits (45), yards allowed per pass (5.2) and FFs (5, tied); 4th in sacks (19); and 5th in takeaways (9, tied).

More Fangio

This season, Philadelphia has held opponents to the league’s lowest completion percentage (56.0%). That is the Eagles’ best figure allowed through 14 contests since the 2008 campaign (53.9%). Philadelphia has surrendered just 13 passing TDs, which ranks 2nd in the NFL, trailing only L.A. Chargers (12). The Eagles remain the only NFL team that has not allowed a passing TD on third or fourth down (last NFL team to do so through 14 games was the 2008 Colts).

More Fangio

The Eagles rank 5th in the NFL in defensive EPA (70.9), behind Seattle (111.1), Houston (99.6), Cleveland (98.9), and L.A. Rams (74.8).

Nakobe Dean is a Pro Bowler?

Since returning to the Eagles’ defense in Week 7, Nakobe Dean has recorded the highest PFF pass rush grade (92.3), pass rush win rate (30.0%), and pressure percentage (36.7%) among NFL off-ball LBs (min. 30 pass rush snaps). He is also the only player with 50+ tackles (53), 4.0+ sacks, and 2+ FFs since Week 7.
