Final score: Texans defeat Chiefs 20-10 on 'Sunday Night Football'

The Kansas City Chiefs were defeated by the Houston Texans on ‘Sunday Night Football’ in Week 14.

The game’s final score was 20-10 in Houston’s favor.

Patrick Mahomes put together one of the worst stat lines of his nine-year NFL career, throwing three interceptions and completing just 14 of his 33 passing attempts for 160 yards. He did not throw a touchdown pass in Week 14.

However, Mahomes managed to lead Kansas City’s ground game, with 59 yards on seven carries. Veteran running backs Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco both rushed for 30 yards on 12 and nine carries, respectively.

Speedy wideout Xavier Worthy was the Chiefs’ leading receiver with three catches for 55 yards.

On defense, pass-rusher Chris Jones generated a ton of pressure on Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud, but he only tallied two combined tackles and one sack. Linebacker Nick Bolton recorded 12 combined tackles in the game, which led Kansas City’s defensive effort.

With this loss, the Chiefs’ regular-season record fell to 6-7, and Kansas City’s chances of earning a spot in the AFC playoffs have fallen precipitously.
