PunchingGrace.com, 6:30 pm ET, Albert Ramirez vs Lerrone Richards. From Montreal, Canada, for Ramirez’s interim WBA lightweight title. Not a bad little matchup for a Canadian Thursday night, but it’ll cost you to watch it. Dzmitry Asanau, Mehmet Unal, and Olympian Wyatt Sanford all appear in support.
DAZN, 8:00 pm ET, Christian Medina vs Adrian Curiel. From Guadalajara, Mexico, for Medina’s WBO bantamweight title. Medina took that title from Yoshiki Takei in Japan last September. Now, he gets a softer touch at home in his first defense. Curiel is a former world champion, and expect to hear about that early and often on the broadcast. But, he won that belt in 2023 at 108 lbs. against Sivenathi Nontshinga, and promptly lost it right back in their rematch three months later. Then, lost at 112 lbs. to Sunny Edwards his next time out. He’s had two get-well matchups in Mexico since then, and now moves up to 118 lbs. to challenge Medina. Big move for a guy who was largely considered a fringe contender at 108 before his big upset, and fought early in his career as low as 101.5 lbs. BLH may have live updates
DAZN, 2:00 pm ET, Nick Ball vs Brandon Figueroa. From Liverpool, England, for Ball’s WBA featherweight title. Fun matchup between two guys who are very willing to mix it up! Ball is just 5’2”, but fights like a battering ram had a baby with a tornado. Figueroa has never lost to anyone not named Stephen Fulton, and has never been stopped as a pro by anyone. Even with Ball a very justifiable favorite, the pieces are here for an exciting, action fight. It’s a very domestic undercard, with 24 year old Jack Turner a guy you might want to check out for future reference, if he develops as Eddie Hearn hopes. BLH will have live updates
RedneckBrawl.TV, 8:00 pm ET, Redneck Brawl 12: Ohio vs Michigan. From Toledo, Ohio. The greatest show in the boxing-ish universe returns! 28 fights on the card! Catfish Cooley is BACK! Can Toledo match Cincinnati for Ohio crowd brawls and borderline riots? It’ll cost you $22.99 to find out live, and it’s a damn bargain. College football is over, there’s no other televised boxing at the same time, and the Super Bowl isn’t until the day after. So, buy twice as much chips and dip, and get your friends together for two straight nights of premiere sports entertainment. And if your friends are awful and won’t watch with you? Join us here for my favorite live coverage event, because you’d better believe that BLH will have live updates – COME GIT YOU SOME!!! (Puh-Puh-POW!!!)
