The rookie season for New York Jets cornerback Azareye’h Thomas has come to an early end.
Ahead of New York’s Week 15 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4), Thomas has been listed on the Jets’ injury report with a shoulder issue.

Because of that, his 2025 season is over. The Jets have placed Thomas on injured reserve, ending his first year in the NFL:
Thomas suffered that shoulder injury against the Miami Dolphins last week.
Thomas has appeared in 12 games in 2025 and has started the last five of them across from No. 1 cornerback Brandon Stephens.
Thomas has recorded 22 tackles, including two for loss, with seven passes defended. Pro Football Focus has graded Thomas a modest 55.1 overall mark as a rookie, ranking him the outlet’s 81st best cornerback out of 109 qualifying players this year.
PFF’s grades indicate Thomas struggled as a starter, which could be viewed as a learning curve for the first-year pro. In his last four games played, PFF’s highest grade for Thomas was a 52.2
