Is Texas Football playing college football today?

Do the Texas Longhorns play college football today? UT actually has a bye week in Week 10 and will not play today. Instead, Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian says the team has been studying themselves and how they can improve internally.

This is the second bye week of the season for Texas, something that will change when the SEC moves from an eight-game to a nine-game schedule next season. The Horns have three huge games to finish the season, so a week off before the stretch run is extremely valuable for Sark and his staff to look inward for a week.

«We have got to dig deep into who we are right now. We’ve got to dig into the things that are causing us issues in all three phases right now. We’ve got to look at people are attacking us in all three phases right now and we’ve got to be forward thinkers. What are people going to do when they look at our tape and how are they going to attack us. We’ve got to make sure we’ve got enough tools in our toolbox to combat that stuff. And so, as much as I want to get a head start on Georgia, we got to look at ourselves first and we’ve got to make sure we’re buttoned up in all three phases.” – Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian
