Oscar De La Hoya is back on his revenge tour and takes aim at Dana White once again for an investigation into alleged fight fixing in the UFC. De La Hoya says this only proves him right about the kind of businessmen Turki Alalshikh is dealing with, and thinks this whole saga only serves to undermine their own goals in the sport.
“One of my enemies is in boiling hot sh-t,” De La Hoya said. “So my friend Dana White and the UFC are being investigated by the FBI for allegedly fixing over one hundred fights, with the latest one over the weekend. That was incredibly suspicious, I mean wow. Is anybody really surprised?
“I’ve been trying to tell you guys these TKO guys are scumbags, and now they’re trying to change the Muhammad Ali Act to f-ck boxers over. Get the f-ck out of our sport. Everything you touch turns to absolute sh-t. And now you have the FBI crawling up your ass, good f-ckin’ luck.
“I mean is there any young boxer who is crazy enough to f-ck their careers by signing with your sh-t league? They want their own rules, they want their own belt, their own ring, their own sanction to do exactly what they’ve done with the UFC, which landed them a $400M suit from fomer fighters, and now a federal investigation into illegal activity. I mean, we’ll see how than pans out.”
De La Hoya, for his part, makes it clear that he’s conversely having a great week, and is excited for this weekend’s main even featuring Vergil Ortiz.
