Well, any fears of Jared McCain getting trolled for losing to non-NBA players in a celebrity 3-point contest can be put to rest. The 21-year-old comfortably won the StateFarm-sponsored Friday night event.
It’s been a wild couple of weeks for McCain. He was traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder at the NBA trade deadline. With only a few games under his belt with his new squad, he’s still getting accustomed to heightened expectations of a Larry O’Brien trophy.

Before the Thunder enter the stretch run, the league went on a collective vacation with the 2026 NBA All-Star break. Part of the weekend extravaganza was an NBA celebrity 3-point contest that was held at the NBA Crossover convention center.
McCain came away as the winner. He scored 12 points in the finals. Streamer PlaqueBoyMax had 10 points. Both advanced from the opening round, that feature six participants.
In the opening round, McCain led the way with 11 points. PlaqueBoyMax was runner-up with nine points. NBA analyst Richard Jefferson and BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester each had seven points; Druski had five points; Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams had four points.
The NBA All-Star break highlights the league’s best players — more importantly though, it allows the multi-billion dollar league to highlight its corporate sponsorships. Injuries have made it a quiet weekend for the Thunder. Chet Holmgren is the sole representative as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Ajay Mitchell were sidelined with injuries.
