Raul García struck a dramatic stoppage-time winner as Osasuna beat LaLiga leaders Real Madrid 2-1 at Estadio El Sadar.
After Ante Budimir had given the home side a deserved lead from the penalty spot late in the first half, Real got themselves back on level terms as Vinícius Júnior responded to the most difficult of weeks with a fine close-range finish.
Osasuna, though, snatched victory when Garcia weaved into the left side of the Real Madrid area and fired a composed finish past Thibaut Courtois — which was initially given as offside before being overturned by VAR — to spark wild celebrations from the home fans.
Los Blancos remain just two points ahead of rivals Barcelona, who could move top of the table if they beat Levante on Sunday.

With the build-up to Saturday’s match having been overshadowed by the alleged racial abuse reported by Vinícius in the Champions League playoff against Benfica on Tuesday night, there was a low-key opening in Pamplona.
Osasuna slowly built a spell of pressure with Budimir curling a shot just wide from the edge of the Real Madrid box.
Visting goalkeeper Courtois then made a superb reflex save to push the ball over after Rubén García‘s cross had cannoned off defender Álvaro Carreras, and produced another fine stop to palm Budimir’s header away.
Real finally showed some attacking intent in the 32nd minute when Vinicius Jr’s low shot was pushed behind by Sergio Herrera and from the resulting corner, David Alaba‘s effort was block.
Osasuna were then awarded a penalty following a VAR review after Courtois appeared to catch Budimir’s foot as the striker chased a ball into the area after 39 minutes.
Budimir picked himself up to roll in the spot-kick and continue his fine scoring record against Los Blancos.
Real almost forced an equaliser in first-half stoppage time when Aurélien Tchouaméni‘s bouncing shot looped up and Herrera had to push the ball over.
Early in the second half, Arda Güler sent a rising drive just over the crossbar after making space to turn and shoot at the edge of the home penalty area.
The away side had the ball in the net after 70 minutes when Kylian Mbappé was played into the left side of the box and fired a shot into the top corner, but his effort was ruled out for offside.
The visitors were soon on level terms just three minutes later.
Federico Valverde drove down the left and cut the ball back across the six-yard box, where Vinícius arrived to fire past Herrera.
There was a dramatic finish in stoppage time when Garcia latched on to a pass into the left side of the Real Madrid area and cut back inside a diving Raul Asensio to clip the ball past Courtois into the far corner.
Osasuna’s initial celebrations were cut short by an offside flag, which was overturned on VAR review, to secure a memorable win.
