LSU football loses three-star defensive back to transfer portal

The transfer portal won’t officially open until January, but players are already declaring their intention to enter. That includes LSU football cornerback Wallace Foster, per a report from On3’s Pete Nakos.

Foster is a redshirt freshman from Warren Easton High School in New Orleans. Foster committed to LSU in November of 2024 and held firm on his pledge until he signed in 2024. Foster was buried on the depth chart in Baton Rouge, appearing in just two games in 2024 and playing one defensive snap in 2025.

The Rivals Industry Rankings slotted Foster as the No. 74-ranked cornerback recruit in his class. Foster was the No. 724 overall-ranked prospect and No. 24 in the state of Louisiana.

Foster is not a significant loss for LSU, but the Tigers lose a depth piece. Given the talent LSU has at cornerback, Foster was unlikely to earn any significant playing time in 2026. Foster will search for a home where he can play a bigger role in the defense.
