A Manchester United supporter group has labeled the club «a laughing stock» while unveiling new plans for protests against the management.
The 1958 group has previously coordinated demonstrations targeting the leadership at Old Trafford, especially the Glazer family’s majority ownership.
They have criticized United’s leadership — including minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe — for «transforming the club into a circus» and state their intention to protest prior to the Premier League match against Fulham on February 1.
Frustration aimed at British billionaire Ratcliffe has escalated since the 73-year-old took control in February 2024.
An anti-Ratcliffe banner was shown by United fans in the away section at Turf Moor during the 2-2 tie with Burnley on Wednesday — marking the first match after head coach Ruben Amorim was dismissed.
«After facing one disaster after another, Ratcliffe appears as an incompetent fool turning the club into a circus,» remarked the 1958 group in a statement.
«Rather than being the best in class, we are now a laughing stock.»

«These past few days at Manchester United have been extraordinary and deeply concerning.»
«On the field, we are witnessing lackluster performances from a mediocre team that is wandering without identity, direction, or ambition. Off the pitch, the disorder is even more pronounced.»
United continues its search for an interim manager to succeed Amorim, with former players Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Michael Carrick, and Ruud van Nistelrooy all being considered.
The current caretaker Darren Fletcher, who was in charge at Burnley, will once again lead the team when Brighton come to Old Trafford on Sunday for the third round of the FA Cup.
