Back-to-back bases-loaded walks for Jaxon Willits and Nolan Stevens tied the game and Trey Gambill followed with a sacrifice fly to give Oklahoma the last lead it would need. Cayden Brumbaugh went ahead and followed with an RBI double to score Willits and Alec Blair plated Stevens on an RBI groundout to give the Sooners’ pitchers plenty to work with.
Coach Skip Johnson used a committee approach in Oklahoma’s fourth game in four days. Only Jason Bodin worked more than an inning as he pitched the seventh and eighth. Isaac Williams picked up the win, striking out two in the sixth inning.
Willits and Stevens collected more RBIs in the second on a sacrifice fly and a groundout. Deitan LaChance emptied the loaded bases in the third with a double, as well.
Brumbaugh was the only Oklahoma player to finish with more than a hit as Oklahoma did lots of its work station-to-station. The lineup drew 12 base-on-balls against just seven hits.

The game was actually played at Globe Life Field after originally being scheduled to be in Norman. But construction on the Sooners’ home stadium forced the move and Oklahoma was already in Arlington, Texas, after three games over the weekend.
