Notre Dame football saw twenty-seven new members of its team officially sign on the dotted line on Wednesday, and there could be one more on the way.
On3’s Steve Wiltfong is reporting (subscription required) that 2027 Irish quarterback commit Teddy Jarrard could potentially be reclassifying to the 2026 class, and would be the second quarterback to enter the program in the class along with Noah Grubbs.

According to the report, Jarrard has been “putting things in motion to reclassify,” meaning that he’d have to have the high school credits in order to do so. It’s not a decision that he’d make on a whim, it’s most likely a change that he’s be considering for quite some time.
Jarrard’s father spoke on the matter, as the goal is to have everything in place for the February signing period, which is a few months away. It will be an interesting situation to monitor, as Notre Dame could be adding two quarterbacks in the 2026 class, and could look for another in 2027 if Jarrard does indeed move up a grade.
