The Koch family is said to have reached an agreement to acquire a 10% ownership in the New York Giants.
This arrangement, initially disclosed by Bloomberg, awaits the sanction of league owners, which may occur as early as their upcoming meeting in October.
It would be valued at $10 billion, which would exceed the previous North American professional record of $6.05 billion that Josh Harris’ group spent to purchase the Washington Commanders from former owner Dan Snyder in 2023.
A spokesperson for Koch declined to provide comments when contacted by email Wednesday night.
The Mara family has possessed the historic football franchise since it was established in 1925. John Mara serves as president and CEO, and his family along with the Tisch family will remain majority owners.
