The Houston Rockets’ veteran superstar just broke an all-time NBA record that was originally set by the Washington Wizards version of MJ.
When Jordan joined the Wizards at the end of his career, he totaled 737 points in his first 30 games. It was the most by any player age-35 or older through his first 30 games with a new team, according to OptaStats.
Durant has now played 30 games with the Rockets, and he has scored 771 points.

Durant came to the Rockets in a trade in the offseason from the Phoenix Suns. He turned 37 in September. And he’s still as good as ever.

Through 30 games, he’s averaging 25.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.
Efficiency is as good as ever: 52.3% from the field, 42.3% from 3-point range and 89.4% from the foul line.
He’s even averaging 1.0 blocks per game.
KD remains one of the all-time greats, and he doesn’t look like slowing down.
And in passing Michael, he stamps himself even more as one of the greatest scorers to ever grace a basketball court.
