Coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s situation deteriorated further as Hermoso only participated for 22 minutes before leaving the pitch due to injury.

The defender received treatment for his right hip before the medical staff indicated it was time to substitute, leading to him being replaced by Daniele Ghilardi.

The extent of these injuries remains uncertain, with Roma set to face Stuttgart in a Europa League tie on Thursday, followed by a Serie A clash against second-placed Milan next Sunday.
There was at least some encouraging news for Gasperini, as Lorenzo Pellegrini returned after a month’s absence, while Donyell Malen found the net on his debut.
