Seahawks make shocking pick in Daniel Jeremiah's 2026 NFL mock draft

The Seattle Seahawks will pick 32nd in the 2026 NFL draft as a result of winning Super Bowl LX. General manager John Schneider could decide to address a number of areas. Many expect the Seahawks to take a cornerback or offensive lineman. Corner is a popular pick with Riq Woolen and Josh Jobe on expiring contracts.

That’s not what Daniel Jeremiah does in his second mock draft. Jeremiah has the Seahawks selecting Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion. That would certainly qualify as a bit of a surprise.

«Seattle finds insurance for Rashid Shaheed, who could depart in free agency,» Jeremiah wrote. «Concepcion brings speed on offense and is a dynamic returner who took two punts back for touchdowns in 2025

Jeremiah is correct that Shaheed is slated for unrestricted free agency. It would be fairly shocking if the Seahawks didn’t re-sign him prior to him hitting the open market though. Shaheed made a massive impact as a receiver and returner upon his midseason arrivalm and Schneider is equipped with plenty of cap space to work out a multi-year deal.

If Shaheed does leave Seattle, Jeremiah is correct that Concepcion would be a great like-for-like replacement. He projects as an elite returner and has similar short-area quickness at receiver. Concepcion is an electric prospect, but the Seahawks should just re-sign Shaheed and use this pick elsewhere.
