Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) kicks off the new year with its first boxing event of 2026 later TODAY (Jan. 3) featuring Amanda Serrano taking on Reina Tellez, while the co-main event will see former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion, Holly Holm face off against WBA lightweight champion, Stephanie Han.
Serrano is one of Jake Paul’s biggest signings for his promotion and was set to defend her WBO and WBA women’s featherweight title but Tellez become ineligible to win the belts after failing to make weight (see here). It’s important to note that Tellez did step in on short notice to replace Erika Cruz.

Serrano is coming off back-to-back fights against super lightweight champion Katie Taylor, losing both which put her at 0-3 against the Irish slugger. “The Real Deal” has a record of 47-4-1 with 31 knockouts and is considered one of the best female boxers of all time. Meanwhile, Holm is set to return to her boxing roots once again after she dusted off her boots for the first time in a decade this past June to defeat Yolanda Vega via unanimous decision. She’ll attempt to dethrone Han, the current WBA lightweight champion who comes in with a mint 11-0 record.
