The Ohio State football team continues to light up the postseason college All-American teams with the release of the Sporting News squad on Wednesday. All told, seven OSU players were named across the first and second teams, which is the most of any program.
The names appearing as first-teamers are some of the ones you’ve heard about already, aside from linebacker Sonny Styles, who appeared on the top team of an All-American team for the first time this season. His inclusion makes it seven OSU players that received first-team recognition, tying a record for Buckeyes going back to 1974 when Archie Griffin was running around in the scarlet and gray.

Caleb Downs, Kayden McDonald, and Jeremiah Smith were also named first-team All-Americans by Sporting News, making it their fourth first-team nod, with just the Football Writers Association of America All-American team to be released Thursday as a part of the five used for purposes of consensus and unanimous All-American consideration.
The second team included Caden Curry, Carnell Tate, and Arvell Reese, making it multiple All-American teams for them as well.
We’ll have news on the Ohio State players who make the FWAA All-American team on Thursday. We’re quite sure there will be multiple again.
