The NBA has fined Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves $25,000 after he threw a ball into the stands during the team’s 124-121 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday night.
The incident happened at the end of the first half with Minnesota leading Portland 62-59. Edwards rebounded the final shot of the half, then cocked back and tossed the ball down the court well past the buzzer. The ball reportedly hit a fan sitting next to the stanchion.
Edwards played 38:20 and scored 34 points during the T’Wolves victory.
