The opening whistle for the UNIFFAC U-17 Championship, a qualifier for the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations in this age category, will not sound as scheduled on Tuesday, February 17.

A major surprise in Kinshasa! The UNIFFAC 2026 tournament has been postponed at the last minute! The competition, which was set to get underway at 1:00 p.m. on February 17, has now been officially moved to Wednesday, February 18, following a decision by the Congolese Football Federation (FECOFA).
In an official statement, UNIFFAC announced: «This minor adjustment was made for organizational reasons to ensure the tournament runs as smoothly as possible.»
The participating national teams must now rearrange their schedules, hoping the competition will finally kick off tomorrow, February 18.
