American forward Folarin Balogun continued his excellent run of form with another goal as Monaco defeated Angers 2-0 in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Balogun put the hosts in the lead in the 57th minute with his fourth goal in his last four appearances in all competitions.

Luck was on his side when his header connected with a cross; the ball bounced back on an opponent then on his leg before crossing the goalline.
Monaco dominated and deservedly doubled its lead in the 62nd when Simon Adingra slotted home with a powerful curled shot from outside the box.
Monaco posted a third straight win and moved up to seventh in the standings, with 12th-placed Angers lagging eight points behind.
Balogun also scored twice in Monaco’s 3-2 home loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their Champions League playoff defeat.
After just three goals in his previous 15 games, the former Arsenal player appears to be hitting form at just the right time ahead of this summer’s World Cup.
Balogun is set to play a key role in the United States team as it heads into the tournament, which the U.S. will co-host alongside Canada and Mexico.
The 24-year-old has eight goals in 23 international appearances.
